The owners of the Castano Lounge on High Street Ealing have announced that the bar/restaurant served its last customer this Sunday (12 January).
No reason was given but they were anxious to stress that the decision was not a reflection on the team working at the venue or the ‘vibrant’ Ealing community.
Caston Lounge opened in 2021 in the former Royal Bank of Scotland premises as part of the Lounge group which has over 100 branches across the UK. They describe themselves as neighbourhood café/bars combining elements of a restaurant, British pub and coffee shop culture.
The company was founded in 2002 by a trio of friends, Dave Reid, Alex Reilley and Jake Bishop who all worked in the hospitality industry and hailed from Bristol.
In an email to customers they said, “We are trying to move as many team members as possible within the local areas to keep them in the Lounges family, so we hope you see a familiar face next time you pop to other nearby Lounges such as Estadio Lounge at Wembley Park, Granero Lounge in Ruislip, Morello Lounge in Uxbridge or Watford's Cassio Lounge. “
