Sports relief event takes place in Hanwell on 23rd March
A father and son are helping organise this year's Sainsbury' Sport Relief Mile in Hanwell which takes place on 23 March. It starts at the Bunny Park and charity runners can choose to do one, three or six miles. The route will take in some of the local sights of Hanwell’s historic Brent Lodge Park and there will also be special entertainment from some local performance groups with Hanwell scout groups on hand providing refreshments. Representatives from Ealing leisure centres and Brentford FC community sports trust will be on hand to help people get involved with physical activities across the borough. The Brentford FC mascot BuzzBee will be starting a wave with other celebrity guests yet to be confirmed -check the #ealingmile on twitter to get the latest! Ben Farmer aged 15 and a pupil at St. Benedict’s School, Ealing said: “This is the fourth time the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile has come to Ealing so let’s don the headband, get training and show the rest of the country what we can do. This year is the Ealing mile is biggest yet with over 800 places to fill and there will be plenty of activities on the day so don’t forget to rope in your mates, family, and colleagues too!
