Over 320 Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Leaders from Ealing & Hanwell Scout District were on parade on Sunday 26th April for their annual celebration in honour of their patron saint St George.

They gathered on a sunny afternoon on Ealing Green and were then led by District Commissioner John Foxwell and a colour party from the 1st Hanwell Group along South Ealing Road to St Mary's Church. Special guests at the church were the Mayor of Ealing , Cllr Ian Green, MP Stephen Pound and District President John Mathews were met by Chairman Geoff Mules.

There they held their annual service led by vicar Rev Steve Paynter, and carried out their renewal of promises. Each section said some prayers and then their commissioner invited them to renew their promises.

As is usual the local recipients of the Scout St. Georges day awards were presented on this occasion by County Secretary Paul Spencer. After the service the parade walked to Lammas Park, where it was reviewed by the guests and words of thanks were given by the Mayor.
