Weekend of free family fun including activities and live performances
April 21, 2026 Ealing’s much-loved Community Festival returns to The Questors Theatre for its second year on 30 and 31 May, promising a full weekend of free activities, performances and hands-on experiences for all ages. Organisers are inviting residents to drop in, try something new and discover just how much creativity and community spirit thrives on their doorstep. The festival will once again take over the site with an open-door approach: no tickets, no booking, just two days of relaxed, family-friendly fun. Children can immerse themselves in drama and dance, get messy with puppet-making and art sessions, plant sunflowers, sing, make music or simply enjoy the party entertainment. Adults are equally well catered for, with opportunities to join yoga and dance classes, enjoy a chair massage, explore interior design ideas, learn beginners’ Japanese, take part in singing workshops or settle into a sound bath. Poetry readings and local interest talks add a quieter, reflective strand to the programme. Many activities are designed for everyone to enjoy together. Backstage tours offer a glimpse behind the scenes, while sports sessions, arts and crafts tables and live music will run throughout the weekend. Alongside the free programme, visitors can browse a costume and props sale, sample homemade cakes or settle in for the festival’s popular beer offering. A series of special performances will also take place across the two days, each priced at just £10. Saturday features Dantastic’s Superhero Adventure in the morning and early afternoon, followed by an afternoon performance from The Robyn Backhouse Band. Sunday brings a lively mix of dance and theatre, including the Kelli Dixon Academy of Dance, The Ultimate Bubble Show, Luna Dance, Dance Gallery, Same Day Replays and an evening of jazz and blues with Dixieland to Detroit. With something happening at every turn, the festival aims to showcase the breadth of talent and community involvement that makes Ealing such a vibrant place to live. Whether you want to learn a new skill, enjoy a performance, or simply soak up the atmosphere, the weekend offers a welcoming space to explore, play and connect. Organisers are encouraging residents to save the dates and drop by at any time across the two days. The festival is free, open to all, and designed to celebrate the creativity and generosity of the local community.
