The Questors Theatre is preparing to launch a three-day comedy festival this Easter as part of a fundraising effort to replace the leaking roof above its Studio and rehearsal rooms. The event, which runs from 2 to 4 April 2026, will feature a range of stand-up performances and family shows, with each ticket including a £10 levy dedicated to the roof-repair fund.

The festival opens on Thursday 2 April with a double bill from two well-known comedians. Mark Watson, an Edinburgh Festival Award winner and Time Out Critic’s Choice, will perform alongside Ninia Benjamin, who is widely recognised for her stand-up work and television appearances. The show begins at 7.30pm and is recommended for audiences aged 18 and over.

The theatre will announce the full line-up for Friday 3 April shortly. This event will also begin at 7.30pm and carry an 18+ advisory.

On Saturday 4 April, the festival will include an afternoon performance aimed at younger audiences. French comedian Marcel Lucont will present A Gameshow for Awful Children, a family-friendly competition in which children take part in a series of humorous challenges. The show starts at 2.30pm and is suitable for ages six and above.

The festival will conclude on Saturday evening with a line-up featuring Desiree Burch, Marcel Lucont, Shappi Khorsandi and John Tothill. All four performers have appeared on major television comedy programmes, including Taskmaster, Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You and 8 Out of 10 Cats. The show begins at 7.30pm and is recommended for audiences aged 18 and over.

The Questors Theatre will release further details about the festival in the coming days, including additional events and children’s programming. The theatre hopes the fundraiser will help secure the long-term condition of its facilities after a winter in which leaks became increasingly difficult to manage.
