Pitshanger Pictures, the film club based out of St Barnabas Millennium Hall on Pitshanger Lane, has just entertained its 3000th guest! Now with a bumper weekend of cinematic delights, they hope to greatly add to that number. The weekend's delights are:

* Saturday 26th May, 3 pm - Puss In Boots (U)

One for all the family, 2011 hit film about the events leading up to the sword fighting cat's meeting with Shrek and his friends. £4.50 children, £6 adults to include a drink and a snack.

* Saturday 26th May, 7:30 pm - War Horse (12A)

Speilberg's take on the Michael Morpugo story of Young Albert who enlists to serve in World War I after his beloved horse is sold to the cavalry. Albert's hopeful journey takes him out of England and across Europe as the war rages on. Nominated for several academy wards, this will make for a very moving night out. £6 child (under 16), £8 adult to include a wine or juice and a snack.

* Sunday 27th May, 7 pm (come before for supper from 6pm) Il Trovatore – Verdi

A wonderful performance from Covent Garden, of perhaps the most tuneful opera ever written. A fantastic opera experience guaranteed. £10 per ticket with supper and drinks available to purchase in addition.

* Monday 28th May, 7:30 pm - Born into Brothels (15)
Widely acclaimed documentary about the children living in Kolkata's red light district.
