There is an opportunity to kick off the Christmas season with an evening of music, food and festive readings.

The Mayhew Christmas Concert, is being held on Friday 1 December at St Matthew’s Church on North Common Road in Ealing.

It promises to be a blend of music, moving readings and other festivities, all in aid of the dogs, cats and communities the animal charity supports.

Two local choirs will be singing carols and other Christmas songs plus special celebrity guests including actress Beatie Edney who stars in Poldark will share heart-warming readings.

There’ll be plenty of refreshments on hand too, from mince pies to mulled wine and much more.

Every penny raised will contribute directly to the well-being of the dogs and cats at Mayhew.

Due to the number of guests and music, the evening is not suitable for pets to attend, so in the interest of their well being, you are asked to leave your furry friends at home.

Tickets cost £20 or £10 for under 12s and can be purchased online.
