Community choir Ealing Voices will present its annual Summer Concert and Picnic at St Matthew ’s Church, Ealing, on Saturday 27 June at 6.30 pm, with a programme inspired by the theme of Weather.

The ensemble will perform pieces ranging from Stormy Weather and Summertime to Elgar’s As Torrents in Summer and Stanford’s The Blue Bird.

After the concert, audience members are invited to join singers and friends in the church garden for a relaxed summer picnic — weather permitting. Tickets including picnic are available now online priced at £18.50 for adults and £5.50 for under 16s.

Founded in 2017, Ealing Voices has become one of the borough’s most inclusive and welcoming choirs, drawing members from across west London. The group performs regularly at local venues including St Matthew ’s, St Barnabas and Ealing Green Church, and has collaborated with other community ensembles and charities. Its repertoire spans centuries and styles, from Renaissance motets to contemporary pop arrangements, with an emphasis on accessibility and enjoyment rather than formal auditioning.

The choir’s concerts often double as social gatherings, reflecting its ethos of community connection through music. Past events have supported local causes and brought together residents of all ages, from seasoned singers to newcomers discovering choral music for the first time.
