Pop-up cinema awaits approval

The adverts are out and the films are already to roll but Ealing's summertime pop-up cinema hasn't yet been officially approved.

The Rooftop Cinema Club - which is planned for Springbridge Road Car Park has already announced its programme - which is due to start on 31st July.

It's a partnership operation between Ealing Broadway BID and Land Securities, along with Ealing Council.

The Rooftop Film Club will seat 200 people - but planning permission has not yet been granted. a council spokesperson said: 

“The planning application for the proposed pop-up cinema at Springbridge Road car park will be considered by the planning committee on Wednesday evening (24 July). Should the application not be successful, we understand that the organisers have other possible locations in mind.”
