Small works from BEAT artists to be displayed at the Brentham Club
July 23, 2025 As part of the 2025 Borough of Ealing Art Trail (BEAT), a special exhibition will be held to raise funds for the homelessness charity Crisis. Many of the artists participating in this year’s BEAT have volunteered to contribute a small artwork on the theme of “Home.” Every piece will be available for purchase at £50, and all profits from the exhibition will be donated to Crisis. To enhance the energy of the Art Trail and provide a platform to showcase the work of BEAT artists, the exhibition will take place at the Brentham Club. It will be open both before and during the trail, offering visitors the opportunity to view and purchase artwork while supporting a vital cause. The exhibition is expected to feature approximately 70 pieces, each measuring 20 by 20 centimetres (8 by 8 inches) on canvas. Most of the artworks will be unframed, and the public can browse and admire them throughout the exhibition’s run. It will be held at the Brentham Club, located at 38a Meadvale Road, W5 1NP, near Pitshanger Lane opening daily from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm between 24 August and 14 September. Brentham Club will also serve as a BEAT venue during Art Trail weekends. Purchases cannot be made until the exhibition officially opens on 24 August. Sold artworks will remain on display until the end of the exhibition and can be collected locally afterward. Organisers will provide full collection details to purchasers. As this is a community-driven initiative, artworks will not be sold through the website and will not be shipped. Visitors are encouraged to attend the exhibition in person to make a purchase and support Crisis directly. Anyone interested in buying an artwork can contact the organising team via email at info@ealingbeat.org.uk, using “HOME” in the email subject line. The message should include the artwork’s reference number, the artist’s name, and the title. Alternatively, purchases can be arranged by texting Keith Cunningham on 07831 223 676 with the same details. F or those who wish to support Crisis but cannot attend the exhibition, donations can be made by clicking on the Crisis tab on the exhibition’s website. The Borough of Ealing Art Trail is an annual celebration of creativity, bringing together artists and makers from across the borough to open their studios, homes and community spaces to the public. BEAT offers visitors a rare chance to meet the artists, discover their work and explore the vibrant arts scene that thrives in west London. Over the course of two weekends, the trail transforms Ealing into a creative hub, showcasing everything from painting and photography to sculpture, ceramics, textiles and mixed media. Locations are spread throughout the borough and are connected by an easy-to-navigate map, allowing visitors to curate their own journey through Ealing's artistic landscape. BEAT is entirely run by volunteers and is committed to fostering a sense of connection and community through art. It provides a platform for both established and emerging artists, while encouraging public engagement and arts appreciation among people of all ages.
