A lecture by Sarah Ciacci presented by The Arts Society Ealing
June 22, 2023 Sarah Ciacci is to provide a whistlestop tour of major artworks, key themes, important ideas and stylistic changes in Modern and Contemporary art from the late 1800s to today, to serve as an introduction to the myriad of styles in art in the 20th century. It is the next talk to be presented by The Arts Society Ealing and is taking place at 7:30pm on Monday 26 June at St Barnabas Church Hall, Pitshanger Lane, Ealing W5 1QG. Sarah Ciacci has been a Blue Badge Guide for London since 2008, specialising in art, museums and galleries. She has trained Blue Badge Guides in the National Gallery and is an art lecturer for trainee guides in Tate Britain, Tate Modern and the National Portrait Gallery and is a gallery educator. Visitors are welcome to attend at £8 per lecture (reduced to £3 for students); payment can be made by cash on the evening or in advance by contacting: spsecretarytase@gmail.com. The Arts Society Ealing belongs to the large umbrella organisation, The Arts Society, previously known as the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies (NADFAS), which was founded in 1968. The local Society, which has a membership of around 140, is now one of the 388 member societies of The Arts Society that have been formed throughout the United Kingdom, in parts of Europe and in Australia and New Zealand.
