Police appeal for witnesses to the incident

A 24 year old man has died in hospital after being stabbed on a busy road in Greenford.

Police were called at around 5.20pm on Friday, 7 February, to Ruislip Road.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the man was taken to St Mary's Hospital where he died later that evening. Next of kin have been informed.

The man's has been named as Dean Mayley, 24 from Northolt.

An incident room is open at Hendon under Detective Chief Inspector Matt Bonner from the Homicide and Major Crime Command.

Enquiries into the circumstances of the stabbing are ongoing.

A post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.
