Detectives investigating the murder of a man in Southall have arrested two further people.

Warrants were executed at four addresses in and around Southall and at one, two men - both aged in their 30s - were arrested on suspicion of murder and taken into custody at a west London police station.

A man who was arrested earlier in the day has been bailed over the murder until late September pending further enquiries.

Detectives continue to appeal for witnesses and information.

Police were called by London Ambulance Service at around 19:50hrs on Wednesday, 20 August to Trinity Road, Southall after a man was found suffering a stab wound.

The man, believed to be aged in his late 30s, was taken to a central London hospital where he was pronounced dead at around 23:45hrs. Next of kin have been informed.

Whilst detectives believe they know who the victim is they await formal identification.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled for Friday 22 August.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating.
Acting Detective Chief Inspector Luke Marks, who is leading the investigation said:

"We are appealing for witnesses and would invite anyone who was in or around Southall Broadway that evening, in the Trinity Road area, that thinks they saw or heard anything suspicious to please call our incident room.

"We are also keen to hear from anyone who feels they have any information about the murder that may assist our investigation."
