Murder Investigation After Woman Stabbed in West Ealing

Police called in the early hoursto Sherwood Close

A murder inquiry is underway after a woman was stabbed in west Ealing.

Police were called at approx. 01:30hrs on Tuesday 13 March to reports of a woman injured at an address in Target House, Sherwood Close, W13.

A woman aged 59 was taken by the ambulance service to St Mary's Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Next of kin have been informed but police await formal identification.

A post-mortem on Tuesday 13 March gave cause of death as stab wounds.

An incident room has been opened under DCI Steven Lawrence.

A man aged 52 was arrested at the scene and remains in custody at a west London police station.
