Ealing will be promoted as a 'developers' paradise' at a major property meeting in France this week.

The annual MIPIM event in Cannes is an important conference attracting the world's property market experts and developers.

It's costing £8,000 for Ealing's four representatives to attend the four-day event, however two officers are taking their annual leave to cycle from London to Cannes and raising money for the Haiti Earthquake Appeal and other charities.

It's hoped developers will see the area as one of huge potential with development opportunities in housing, retail, leisure and business.

Investment opportunities include Acton Town Hall, Dean Gardens, Ealing Broadway and Station approach, Southall Station, Havelock Estate, Glade Lane, North Acton and Greenford Green.

To coincide with the conference a new magazine has been launched. Ealing in London is being distributed to more than 5,000 local and national decision makers.

Issue one introduces the borough and its regeneration plans, highlighting major developments in the pipeline.

The magazine ''serves as your official guide to all the regeneration, development and investment taking place in London’s third largest borough.''

This afternooon Mayor Boris Johnson will be giving a keynote address at the MIPIM conference on London's approach to City Planning.
