Summer programme takes place in Ealing, Acton and Greenford
Ealing Jazz Festival returns to London’s Walpole Park with an exciting mix of world-renowned artists and local talent for the weekend of 29–30 July. Pine will be accompanied by the London-born father of neo-soul Omar MBE. Known for his chart-topping hit “There’s Nothing Like This”, Omar has appeared on Gilles Peterson’s revolutionary Talkin’ Loud imprint and won the Urban Music Award for Outstanding Achievement in 2006. Founded in 1984, the Ealing Jazz Festival has been part of the borough’s summertime calendar for over 30 years. Last year saw Roy Ayers and Yolanda Brown headlining and the sun beaming down, drawing nearly 10,000 people to Walpole Park. Ealing Jazz Festival is one of 2017’s Ealing Summer Festivals, a series of seven separate events taking place in the borough between July and September. Set in some of Ealing’s most beautiful parks, the festivals bring people together in a collective appreciation of exceptional local and international talent across a range of artistic disciplines.
