Another man suffering from head injuries
A police officer has been attacked by a man armed with a knife in Hanwell. It happened this morning (Sat 14th January) on Cowper Road. Police said that two PCs had been called to reports of a man shouting through the night and were attacked after they went into a house. A man, 56, suffered a head injury and is being treated in hospital. The injured officer is expected to be released from hospital soon. Local resident Jane Salisbury @GothicBlue witnessed this morning's activity and wrote on the social network site twitter: " Whole road is blocked off at corner of Cowper and Dryden. Doesn't look good. '' 11 police cars 2 vans 1 paramedic car and one ambulance one helicopter. Still can't stop shaking.'' The injured officer is expected to be released from hospital soon.
