Officers at the Finchley Flying Squad are appealing for information following a robbery in Greenford.

Police were called at approximately 11:00hrs ( Tuesday 16 March) to reports of a robbery outside HSBC Bank on Greenford Road.

Officers believe that two men, wearing grey/black hooded tops, snatched a cash box from a cash-in-transit security guard after assaulting him outside the bank.

The two men, one described as 6' in height and of a medium build, and the other described as 5'9" in height, then made off with the cash box in a Renault Megane direction unknown.

The cash-in-transit security guard is currently receiving medical treatment at a West London hospital for minor injuries to his hand.
