The owner of a cafe destroyed during the riots of August 2011 is asking the people of Ealing to help him get back in business.

The Green Mango in Ealing Green had only opened a few months before it was flooded by fire crews struggling to put out the blaze at the supermarket next door.

Last month - 19 months after the riots - the supermarket reopened but sadly the doors are still shut at The Green Mango.

Owner, Zakar Hussain, received some insurance but not enough to cover the extensive costs of repair.

He says he had hoped to reopen the cafe at Christmas but is still really struggling to make ends meet.

He is now asking for donations to enable him to open his doors once again and has made a plea via youtube.
