Two men now accused in connection with the killing
The estranged husband of Geeta Aulakh who was left mutilated and dying in Greenford has been charged with her murder. Harpreet Aulakh, 31, was one of 12 men questioned by officers investigating the killing of the 28 year old mother-of-two last month. Mrs Aulakh was found with fatal head injuries and her hand severed after being attacked with a sword-like weapon in in Braund Avenue, at its junction with Verulam Road, on 16 November. She was walking to pick up her two sons Tejdeep, eight, and Karam, 10, after leaving work at Sunrise Radio where she was a receptionist. Harpreet Aulakh was originally questioned and released last month but re-arrested and charged today (Saturday12 December). A second man arrested on Friday was bailed to return to a west London police station next month. Another man, Sher Singh, 18, of Southall, has appeared in court charged with Mrs Aulakh's murder and was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on 1 March
