The Ghost Bus - a train replacement service travelling every Tuesday from Ealing Broadway to Wandsworth - is continuing to make its journey- completely empty.

The trip takes approximately 70 minutes, the bus waits for 2 hours and 15 mins before returning again.

The service, fundied by the DfT, is not advertised on any timetables or departure screens and staff at the stations it serves are not even aware it exists.

The “ghost bus” was set up so the previous Government didn't have to face the embarrassment of admitting that it has closed several sections of railway in West London to passenger trains.

It was expected to make its last journey this month but Southern is no longer planning to introduce a train service between Wandsworth Road and Ealing Broadway as was expected this month.

They say they are currently in discussions with Network Rail over the this new service.

The Railway Coach Service (Ghost Bus) will continue to operate between all three stations.

Don Kennedy who organises Lost Railways of London Guided Walks is arranging a group trip on the bus on Tuesday 18th May from Ealing Broadway station at 0945.
