Special gardens open to the public
On Bank Holiday Monday, London’s most beautifully designed gardens will be opened to the public - and one of them is here in Ealing. 19 Blakesley Avenue, Ealing, W5 is described by The Great London Garden Trail as: ''A delightful garden that hides a surprising treat for children young and old. The scented shrubs and cottage planting style offer gardeners a floral haven while the model railway that runs round the edge will bring a smile to everyone’s face.'' This special garden was designed by local consultant Denise Cadwallader in 2006. She says: ''The brief was to create a beautiful garden that would suit all the family's needs including the wish to have a model railway running round it. The train winds its way around the garden in between shrubs and flowers and parks in the shed overnight.''
Address: 19 Blakesley Avenue, Ealing, W5 2DN The gardens will be open from 12pm until 5pm and are free to visit.
