Polling stations throughout Ealing opened at 0700 this morning and there's been a brisk start to the day with many making their choice before heading to work.

More than 44 million people across the UK are registered to vote. Polling closes at 10pm. The first declarations are expected around 11pm.

In Ealing the results for the three parliamentary seats of Ealing North, Ealing Southall and Ealing Central and Acton should be known between 4am and 6am.

69 Council seats are also up for grabs. In Ealing there are 23 wards currently split between Conservative (43) Labour (23) and Liberal Democrats (3)

Local election results will be declared Friday 7 May between 3pm and 5pm.
