New police powers to move groups and young people
Police in Ealing are introducing a new Dispersal Order covering Ealing Broadway and surrounding roads. It commences at 00:01 hrs on 30 June 2010 and will remain in place until 23:59 hours on 29th December 2010.
It covers New Broadway from the junction of Longfield Avenue, The Broadway and The Mall to the junction of Northcote Avenue, Bond Street, High Street, The Grove to the junction of Florence Road, Grove Road, Western Road, Oxford Road, Windsor Road from the junction of Windsor Road, Haven Green, Haven Place, Spring Bridge Road, Gordon Road to the junction of Longfield Avenue, Oak Road, Barnes Pikle alley, Mattock Lane, Mountfield Road and the Ealing Broadway Station forecourt. Also to include paths, alleys, grassed areas, service roads, communal stairwells and staircases.
During the times and dates specified above, a Constable/PCSO may give one or more of the following directions:
If you are under 16, you may not be within the specified area between the hours of 9pm and 6am, unless under the effective control of a parent or responsible person over the age of 18. If found in the dispersal zone between these hours, under 16s may be removed to their home or to a place of safety if more appropriate.
TAKE NOTE:
To remain or return to this area having been told to leave is an offence under Section 32 of the Anti-social Behaviour Act 2003, punishable by 3 months imprisonment and/or a fine not exceeding £2500.
