4x4 Crashes Into Shop On The Broadway

Arrest for suspected drink driving after rush hour accident

One person has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a a Toyota RAV ploughed into a shop on Ealing Broadway during rush hour traffic.

The accident happened on Monday (28th September) as the car mounted the kerb along The Mall, outside STA Travel smashing into the shop front.

Police were called at 4:30pm after a member of staff reported a purple Toyota RAV crashing.

One person was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and the car was recovered by police.

Nobody was injured but the shop was cordoned off by police and the Dangerous Buildings Department were called to assess the damage.
