Police have arrested 47 year Michael Meanza in Ealing today after a woman's body was discovered in Perryn Road, Acton this morning (Monday 27 July)

A murder investigation has been launched after police were called at 6.40am to the property to a report that a woman in her thirties had been injured. After their arrival paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.

The location is believed to be a supported living service for vulnerable people. At this early stage it is also believed that the victim was a member of staff. Her next of kin has been informed but she has yet to be formally identified.

Meanza who was previously known as Michael Condon and suffers from schizophrenia was a resident at the hostel and left the premises at approximately 6.30am this morning.

It is the second murder this year to have taken place in the area. Terry Longman was killed in Cumberland Park this March and Giuseppe Lomedico, aged 54, will be appearing at the Old Bailey this September charged with his murder.

The investigation is being led by Detective Chief Inspector Andy Partridge, Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC).
