Three men have been arrested after a fight outside a Southall pub ended in a shooting.

On Wednesday, 15 June at 22.40hrs two groups were outside the Prince of Wales Public House, Western Road.
The groups were fighting and continued as they moved north along Western Road towards the junction of Leonard Road.

It ended when one of the men fired a shotgun in the direction of the occupants of a Mercedes car; injuring the driver.

The car was driven to a safe location nearby where police and an ambulance attended. The man in his early 40s was located with superficial head injuries. He was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.

Detective Sergeant Jez Dargan of Trident, said: "Despite the time of the evening this is a very busy stretch of road and a number of witnesses are likely to have been in the area or passing at the time of the incident. There must be a number of witnesses to the events which took place and we are asking them to contact police so that we have a full picture of events
on the evening."

The incident is being investigated by specialist officers from Trident.

Three 27 year old men have been questioned in connection with the investigation. One man has been charged.
