Two women were badly injured - and another less seriously - after a collision with articulated lorry outside 105 The Broadway Southall.

Police were called yesterday (31st August) at just before 4pm. They found two women, aged 60 and 76, trapped under a white articulated lorry.

A third woman, aged 36-years, received minor injuries.

The women were taken by London Ambulance Service to a central London hospital.

The 76-year old woman remains in a serious condition with leg and pelvic injuries. The second woman sustained injuries to her chest and wrist, and remains in a stable condition.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact the Collision Investigation Unit at Alperton Traffic Garage on 020 8998 5319.

A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene in connection with the investigation and has bailed until the end of September pending further enquires.
