Special lunch laid on to celebrate school's improvements
Never mind taking your teacher in an apple, St John's Primary School parents had something better in mind to show their appreciation of the hard work that has gone into their childrens' education.
"We want everybody to know how St John's has improved," said Mrs Amini, parent governor and Friends of St. John's. "The welcoming, warm and kind atmosphere is only felt when you are part of St. John's."
Recent achievements include
- Being judged an improving school with good capacity for further improvement by Ofsted
- Accreditation as a model of good practice and flagship provision in our I CAN Speech and Language Resource Base
- Many improvements to the building and learning environment
- Improved standards
Head teacher, Marilyn Borlase, said: "The food was so colourful, tasty and fantastic. We were especially thrilled with our poster of joined hands. The spirit of St. John's is perfectly captured in this gesture."
