Notting Hill and Ealing makes list for fourth successive year
November 26, 2025 Notting Hill & Ealing High School (NHEHS) has been recognised once again as one of the UK’s leading institutions for girls’ cricket, earning a place in The Cricketer magazine’s prestigious Top 20 All-Girls Schools list for the fourth consecutive year. The school first entered the rankings in 2022 and has maintained its position ever since, reflecting a sustained commitment to high-quality cricket provision both inside and outside the classroom. Published annually, The Cricketer’s Schools Guide is regarded as the authoritative benchmark for cricketing excellence in the education sector. Each edition follows a detailed assessment of schools’ facilities, coaching structures, curriculum delivery, and fixture commitments. The 2026 guide will be released in December. Andy Bennett, Director of Sport at NHEHS, welcomed the news, highlighting both the school’s history and its recent achievements. He said, “We are thrilled to be recognised once again in this influential guide. Cricket holds a special place at Notting Hill & Ealing High School — our first all-female team dates back to 1887, and the sport has remained central to school life ever since. In recent years we’ve worked hard to build a thriving cricketing culture and have developed strong partnerships with local clubs and coaches. “This year has been particularly exciting: Our U13 and U15 teams reached the Middlesex Semi-Finals, with the U13s also progressing to the third round of the National Cup. In addition, four of our cricketers will be flying out to Dubai this Easter to represent the GDST London Schools team in the Root Dubai Cup. This recognition is ultimately a testament to the dedication, skill and enthusiasm of our students.” The school’s cricket programme has enjoyed notable success over the past year. Both the U13 and U15 teams progressed to the Middlesex Semi-Finals, underlining NHEHS’s growing competitive strength at county level. The U13 team additionally reached the third round of the National Cup, performing strongly against top cricketing schools from across the country. Beyond domestic competition, four NHEHS players have been selected to represent the GDST London Schools team at the Root Dubai Cup in 2025 — an international tour that brings together emerging female talent from across the Girls’ Day School Trust network. The full survey of schools can be viewed on The Cricketer’s website.
