Ealing Fields High School has been crowned champions of the Jets NFL Girls Flag league in London. The team claimed top spot with a 28-0 victory over Turing House School in an action-packed Championship Day held at the home of Chiswick RFC on Friday 9 May.

After five weeks of league fixtures, the day brought together the top 12 schools by points tally to compete for the title. Ten of London’s boroughs were represented by the girls as they battled it out across four pools, with the top eight progressing to the quarter finals.

Alongside the first-place trophy for Ealing Fields, there were also individual accolades to recognise outstanding performances from local students throughout the league's duration. Robyn from Twyford School was awarded Defensive MVP, while Valeria from Ealing Fields High School was awarded Offensive MVP.

2025 marked the third year in London of the competition supported by NFL team New York Jets, with its aim to increase access to sport for girls across the UK capital through flag football.

Flag football is the non-contact version of American Football which seeks to be inclusive and accessible for all. The sport will officially be included in the LA 2028 Olympic Games program, led by efforts of the International Federation of American Football (IFAF) and supported by the NFL.

“I think it’s safe to say year three of our Jets NFL Girls Flag league in London has been the best yet,” said Jesse Linder, Jets Vice President of Community Relations. “A fantastic way to kick off an exciting year for our team in London, we are so pleased to see the interest and impact of the league continue to increase year on year. A huge congratulations to Ealing Fields on their victory. We look forward to welcoming them back in 2026 to defend their crown.”
