A man from the Pitshanger area is due to appear in court with three others charged with murder after an attack in south-west London on Halloween.

Richard Price, 23, was allegedly ambushed in an alleyway after leaving the Swan & Mitre pub in Bromley High Street shortly before midnight.

He was found by two police community support officers on patrol and taken by ambulance to Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough with serious head injuries. Yesterday morning his life support machine was turned off.

Police have charged Michael Liddell, 19, of Holyoake Walk, Ealing, Murat Karabeyaz, 24, of Burford Road, near Catford, Param-Jit Theara, 24, of Ross Way, Greenwich, south London and Jagtar Johal, 36, of Blyth Road, Bromley.

The men will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates' Court.
