A home on Montpelier Road in Ealinghas been burgled, according to an alert issued through the Met Engage system.

Police say the break-in occurred sometime between 2pm on Sunday 28 December 2 and 7.50pm on Monday 29 December . The intruders are believed to have entered the property by accessing the rear garden and forcing entry into a first-floor bedroom, causing damage to two windows.

Items reported stolen include jewellery.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information about those involved in burglaries or handling stolen goods to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Residents are being urged to review their home security, ensure all door and window locks are used, property-mark electronic items, and keep a record of serial numbers and IMEI numbers for family mobile phones.
