A CCTV image of a man police wish to speak to in connection with a murder in Greenford has been released.

A 27-year-old man with stab wounds was found in a parked car on Sudbury Heights Avenue at 5.30pm on Monday (11 March).

Despite treatment at the scene and in hospital he died a short time later.

Although formal identification has not yet been made, the police have named the victim as Bajram Luli. His next of kin have been informed.

Detective Chief Inspector Jim Shirley, who leads the investigation for one of the Met’s homicide investigation teams, said, "This is a very clear image and I would like anyone who recognises this man to contact police immediately.

"The investigation is continuing at pace and we are working hard to secure justice for the family and friends of the man who was fatally stabbed."

Any witnesses or people who can assist the investigation are asked to call 101 or ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) @MetCC quoting CAD 5384/11Mar.

You can also provide information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Chief Superintendent Sean Wilson responsible for policing in the West Area Command Unit which covers Greenford added, "I understand and share the shock that this incident will cause local residents. I want to reassure the community the specialist officers are working diligently to piece together the events of this incident and to apprehend whoever is responsible."
