An image of a man police believe may be called Gary has been released by officers investigating a sexual assault which took place in Ealing in the late seventies.

Detectives want to speak to the man in connection with their inquiry and have asked him to contact them immediately if he recognises himself in the picture above.

The offence, which was only reported to the police earlier this year, is alleged to have taken place at student accommodation at a hospital in Ealing in late 1977 – early 1978 when the victim was aged 19.

Despite extensive enquiries being undertaken, the man remains unidentified.

The image released is from the late 1970s, but officers are hoping that someone who recognises the man can tell us who and where he is.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC quoting CAD 4971/08SEP2023.
