A murder investigation has been launched after a man was killed with a knife in Northolt.

The police were called by paramedics to Churchill Court, Newmarket Avenue at 4.14am on Saturday morning (4th October). They had found a 31-year-old man who was unresponsive and was suffering from stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Although formal identification has not been made the police believe they know the victim's identity and are in the process of informing next of kin.

An investigation is underway by the Homicide and Major Crime Command based at Hendon.

At this early stage officers are investigating reports that a disturbance was heard in the block at around 11pm on Friday, 3rd October.
