Ealing Policeman Accused of Assault

Due before magistrates later this month

Pc Michael Ray, was investigated after an incident in Denmark Road, West Ealing, in the early hours of December 5 last year.

The suspect claimed he was assaulted during the arrest and Independent officials were called in to investigate.

Ray, who is based in Ealing, will appear before City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on November 25.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) said he has been summonsed to answer the offence of causing actual bodily harm.

A Met spokesman said Ray is on restricted duties.
