Following the death of convicted west London killer Andrzej Kunowski, police are keen to speak to anyone who knew him or has information about crimes he may have committed.

Kunowski dubbed "the Beast" who raped and murdered a 12-year-old girl in Hammersmith died on Wednesday at Frankland prison, Durham, where he was serving a life sentence.

DI Andy Manning, Homicide and Serious Crime Command said:

"I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who was a friend or associate of Kunowski or may have served time with him in prison.

"Kunowski has been linked to the investigation into the disappearance of Elizabeth Chau and Lola Shenkoya. These are still very much active investigations and enquires into the disappearance of these women has recently uncovered a woman who claims to have been sexually assaulted by Kunowski during the period the women went missing."

Elizabeth Chau (22.11.79) and Lola Shenkoya (7.10.72) have been missing from the Ealing area for a considerable amount of time.

19 year old Elizabeth was a student who attended Thames Valley University in Ealing.

At about 17:00 on Friday 16 April 1999 Elizabeth left college. She was seen by a friend in Ealing Broadway at 17:30 and then again walking past Ealing Police Station just after 18:00.She has not been seen since.

Elizabeth is Vietnamese, 5ft 2ins tall, slim, with brown shoulder length layered hair and brown eyes. She has a mole on her left temple. She was wearing a dark purple V-neck jumper, a sleeveless black body warmer, jeans and brown ankle length boots. She was also wearing a silver 'Next' analogue watch and a gold necklace with a jade 'Buddha' and was carrying a small black shoulder bag and blue lever arch folder.

Lola Shenkoya, 27 years, went missing from Ealing on Monday 3 January 2000. We think that Lola returned home from Entertainment UK in Perivale where she worked as a temp some time between 16:00 - 16:30. She was unable to gain entry to the address in Swyncombe Avenue, W5 because her sister, who had the only key, was not at home.

Eyewitness accounts suggest that Lola then caught an E2 bus from Northfield Avenue, outside Northfields Underground Station and travelled to Haven Green, where she got off the bus outside the Burger King; which is near to Ealing Broadway Underground Station. Lola has not been seen since. Lola is black, 5ft 5ins, slim with brown shoulder length hair. On the day she went missing, Lola was wearing a long black coat, grey scarf, a velvet blue hat, blue jeans and black patent leather shoes.''
