Campaigners against a development in St. Mark's Mews are celebrating the withdrawal of the planning application. Their local councillor, Cllr. Julia Clements-Elliot, informed them of the decision.

The Campaign had located Restrictive Covenants limiting the scope of development on the site of the old garages on the South East side of St Marks Road, Hanwell.

Several Restrictive Covenants imposed in 1880 at the time of the sale of the land, prevent over development such as that proposed in the planning application submitted to Ealing Council Planning Department.

The Stop St Marks Mews Campaign wrote to Minute Building Services Limited, the developer proposing to build on the site, the council planning department and local councillors to advise them of the Restrictive Covenants relating to the site.

The Stop St Marks Mews Campaign spent the last six weeks, since the notification of a planning application was circulated to residents, working with the Land Registry in Swansea to source copies of the Title Deeds and Charges Register for the property.

Residents of St Marks Road and St Dunstans Road, Hanwell, West London launched the Stop St Marks Mews Campaign to protest against the proposed development on the site of the old garages on the South East side of St Marks Road (planning serial number P/2004/2736).
