Police were called just after midnight on 20/9/04 to reports of a firearms incident in Canada Crescent, London, W3.

On arrival police they discovered a 34 year old man with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to a West London Hospital where he underwent surgery to remove the bullet and has now been released and is recovering.

The Metropolitan police are appealing to the general public for help in tracing a Silver Vauxhall Corsa Car (Index W112 TRW), which was seen to leave the area shortly after the incident. Police believe two black males and a black female occupied the vehicle when it left the scene of the firearms incident.

They would advise the general public not to approach the vehicle or its occupants but to contact the police straight away as the occupants may still be in possession of a firearm and could possibly pose a danger to their safety.

The Metropolitan Police would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area in the early hours of Sunday 20 th September who may have any information which could help the investigation to contact DC Dave Coward from the Serious Crime Directorate on telephone number 0208-733-4714 or alternatively Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
