West Ealing prices overtake W5 post code area

The latest figures from the Land Registry show a mixed picture for Ealing property.
After a banner month in April in which seven homes sold for over £1 million, the W5 post code area saw a much quieter month. 42 property were sold at an average price of £421,507.
In West Ealing (W13) on the other hand there was a resurgence of prices and activity. 29 properties were reported as sold at an average of £468,106
The only region in England and Wales to experience an increase in its average
property value over the last 12 months is London with a movement of 2.9 per
cent. This resulted in an average of £344,819 which is very similar the average in W3.
The most up-to-date figures available show that during March 2011, the number of completed house sales in England and Wales decreased by -13 per cent to 44,803 from 51,399 in March 2010. The number of properties sold in England and Wales for over £1 million increased by 58 per cent between March 2010 and March 2011, from 511 to 805.
