Andy Zaltzman, star BBC Radio 4 show Political Animal and hit satirical podcast The Bugle, previews his new Edinburgh show Satirist for Hire at the No5 Club at the Drayton this Friday.

Zaltzman has been described by Time Out magazine as “Probably the best satirical comic we’ve produced in the last two decades. Intelligent, biting and silly.”

He is a regular on topical panel quiz show The News Quiz,  Radio 5’s 7 Day Sunday with Al Murray and The Now Show (BBC Radio 4), and his numerous diverse TV appearances include Dave’s One Night Stand (Dave), 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4), Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC Three), The Late and Live Guide to Comedy (BBC2) and Newsnight (BBC Two).

He is joined on the bill by the very talented Mark Smith, who will also perform a preview of his Edinburgh show.
Smith  has appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News and MTV and has established himself as one of the most interesting and exciting comics on the circuit. Three Weeks labels his gigs "sharp, quick, well delivered...something rather special."

Tickets for the one-off performance, on Friday the 28th March, are available for £10 and can be purchased from www.wegottickets.com. Doors open at 8.15 and the show begins at 9pm. For more info, call 07853 664 877 or go to www.philzimmerman.co.uk
