Bearcat comedy was standing room only (and not much at that) last Friday for an appearance of Harry Hill.

He was his usual zany, madcap self. He sure puts a lot of physical energy into it, zipping around the stage pausing only to muse on why the pause button on a remote looks like the number eleven, ramblings on Nando’s and then got us all singing the titles of TV shows to a Bob Marley tune. Then he was gone -  declaring us to be competent of entertaining ourselves.

If I’m honest, I preferred the guy who opened the evening, John Ryan. A bit ‘swear-y’ at times, so I cant go into too much detail here, but he had the crowd in the palm of his hand, and dealt brilliantly with the inevitable heckles turning it at one point into a pastiche of a customer support line “You’re heckle is important to us, and may be used for training purposes”.

But, as ever, a great night out. And there are not many more before it takes a summer break.
