A popular Iranian restaurant in the centre of Ealing is celebrating getting the top rating for hygiene after a recent re-inspection by the council.

Boof received the Five Star award from the Food Standard Agency after inspectors were impressed by changes made at the venue. A previous visit had resulted in a one star rating after a visit had found unlabelled food, dirty chopping boards and cooking equipment that had not been cleaned properly.

The new rating ranked Boof ‘Good’ for Food Hygiene and Safety and Structural Compliance and ‘Very Good’ for Confidence in Management which indicates that the inspectors believe that high standards will be maintained.

A spokesperson for the restaurant said, “Our commitment to providing high-quality, safe food to our customers has always been a top priority, but we understand that in today's world, it's more important than ever. That's why we have implemented strict protocols and procedures to ensure that our food is prepared, cooked and served in the safest way possible.

“Our kitchen and dining areas have undergone a thorough cleaning and disinfecting process, and all of our staff have been trained on the latest food safety guidelines. We have also implemented strict protocols for handwashing, food preparation and storage, and have invested in new equipment and technology to help us maintain a safe and hygienic environment.”

“We are also happy to announce that we have received a food hygiene rating of 5 overall, the highest rating possible. This rating is a testament to our hard work and dedication to providing safe and delicious food to our customers.

Boof is situated at 57 New Broadway (W5 5AH).
