Two Ealing foodies with a taste for all things local are bringing a speciality day to W13.

Event managers, and Northfield mums Cassie Greenwood and Katie Silver have created YUM W13 - the area's first food festival.

On Saturday September 14th Ealing residents will be able to taste the many gastronomic delights on offer in the area.

Restaurants, delicatessens and food specialists in and around Northfields will be on hand to share their many different cuisines with local foodies.

The event takes place from 3.30pm to 9.30pm at the Forester Pub in Northfields.

You can expect to see taster dishes from many local food specialists including Poisson Fishmongers, Kathmandu Nepalese Restaurant, Smakosz Polish Deli, Oriental Tree Restaurant, Richardsons Family Butchers, Thai at The Forester, Sparkle Sparkle Cakes and more. Ealing food lovers are invited to come along and taste cuisines from all parts of the world and in doing so they will also be supporting all things local!

There will be food related activities for children during the day including a visit by the ‘I know Why it’s Yum, Mum’ Food Fairy at 4.15pm and live music will be provided later in the evening.

Katie Silver, Founder of YUM W13, said: “We’re proud to be running this event to increase the awareness of the wonderful, diverse selection of food outlets in and around Northfields. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase some of the great local food businesses; YUM W13 will be a fun day for everyone!”
