Pitzhanger Manor Gallery and House (PMG) are looking for creative young people aged 14-20 years to take part in a new youth panel.

Meeting weekly, the panel will work together to produce art works and performances, as well as host events at PMG and in Walpole Park. The panel will also help to make decisions and be a voice for young people in the community. Participants will be given a first-hand look at working in an art gallery, museum and park and have the opportunity to contribute to the Big Lunch event taking place in June.

Leader of Ealing Council and member of the Pitzhanger Manor Trust, Councillor Julian Bell, said: “The youth panel is all about creativity and teamwork. There are so many enthusiastic young people out there and we’d love to see them come together to inject even more vitality into PMG and Walpole Park.

“Previous art experience is not necessary, all you’ll need is enthusiasm, commitment, an eagerness to learn and meet new people.”

Young people interested in taking part are invited to a taster session at PMG on 9 April from 3-4.30pm. An overview of the youth panel and sample activities will be on offer, along with afternoon refreshments.

Regular panel meet-ups will commence on 16 April, running on Tuesday evenings from 5-7pm.

For more information or to sign-up to the taster session, please contact Claire Cooke on cookec@ealing.gov.uk or 020 8825 9458.
