David Hovatter’s Crucial Image company presents two very different shows. One is a charming tale of the trials and tribulations of a Victorian circus troupe, when the shape of their fortunes is intrinsically linked with their fellow Potter and his Flea Circus. This play with no words is devised to delight with its tale of mishaps, adventure, travel to the New World and changing destiny - Potter's Amazing Fleas will have you in itches!

The second show is an enticing taster of a new play with music that tells the amazing story of the laying of the Transatlantic telegraph cable in the 1850/60s. This momentous, but forgotten, historical tale is both an amazing human story as well as being a significant scientific and industrial landmark in world-wide communications. Lightning Under the Waves touches on the lives of people who were instrumental in making this huge undertaking a success. The atmospheric music and songs add to the magic of this Transatlantic tale. This edited extract provides a unique opportunity for audiences to be the first to see a new musical production while it is still in development!

Shows in The Studio at Questors 1st-3rd August at 7.45pm with an additional matinee performance at 2.30pm on Saturday 3rd August.

Both shows are suitable for all ages and tickets are available from Questors website: www.questors.org.uk - go to the What’s On page. Alternatively, contact the box office on 020 8567 5184.
