Questors Choir To Perform Its Summer Concert This Weekend |

Water themed songs from Handel to spirituals via Gilbert & Sullivan
July 4, 2023 This year’s summer concert by Questors Choir is taking place on Saturday 8 July at 7.30pm at St Thomas’ Anglican Church, 182 Boston Road, Hanwell (W7 2AD). Titled ‘Water Music: Songs of the Rivers and the Sea’ the programme features a selection of water-themed songs ranging from Handel to spirituals via Gilbert & Sullivan, including ‘Cry me a River’, ‘Old Folks at Home (aka Swanee River)’, ‘Shenandoah’ and ‘Moon River’. There might even be a blast of the famous Water Music. The hope is that the event will provide cool music for a warm evening. Tickets cost £15 including interval drink and programme with under 12s going free. You can book online in advance or pay at the door. Questors Choir is a mixed-voice choir of about 60 singers, based in West London. Its repertoire is varied, ranging from baroque, classical and contemporary choral works to showtunes, traditional Christmas carols and folksongs from around the world. It welcomes new members of all abilities and backgrounds, and there's no audition to join. Questors Choir is open to everyone aged 18 and over.
