The Browning Version was originally to be performed last year
Coming up at The Questors is a production of Terence Rattigan’s, The Browning Version. Widely regarded as his greatest work the play concerns classical scholar and teacher Andrew Crocker-Harris. To the boys he teaches, he’s simply “the Crock”. He has failed as a schoolmaster and a husband, and now ill health is forcing him into early retirement. On his final day, the future is looking bleak. But could a sudden unexpected moment of kindness break open the confines of his world? This one-act drama was originally due to be staged in May 2020 but was postponed due to Covid-19. It is now taking place in The Studio from 1 – 9 October. Tickets cost £14 or £12 for concessions and £7 for under-16s and students. The final Friday and Saturday performances cost £18 or £15 for concessions an £9.50 for under-16s and students. Tickets for the first night are £8. The play last 1 hour and 15 minutes and tickets can be booked by clicking here.
