Questors Youth to perform in Austria

London teenagers in Vienna spotlight

An award-winning company of teenagers from Questors Youth

Theatre have been invited to appear in the World Festival of Youth Theatre in Austria.

Ten youngsters from the West London company will be presenting their award-winning drama ‘Cogner au Plafond’ (‘Bashing on the Ceiling’) in Vienna along with other youth productions during 17-26 July.

The poignant and funny tale – of love, riots and French toilets – unfolds in both French and English. The play was written specially for QYT by Wanda Duszynska, and has already won a CILT European Award for Languages, which was presented in a ceremony at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

“These are our stars of the future,” says Andrea Bath, Executive Director of The Questors. “And we're delighted that they’re so successful.”

As well as staging their own play, the Ealing performers, aged 16 to 20, will be working alongside international participants to create the event's final performance.

A preview performance of ‘Cogner au Plafond’

will be presented in the Playhouse at The Questors Theatre

on Sunday July 12th at 8.00pm.
